Everytime Axial announces a new rig, the crawler world goes crazy! This time it looks like a successor to their ever so successful SCX10 line which can be said to have shaped the 1/10 scale crawler world!
Axial have basically confirmed there will be a SCX10 III coming with the logo shown in the first couple of shots.
In the first opening shots, you can see hints of an axle with portal axles at both ends!
There were about three new features announced, the Dig system seemingly will come with the rig this time. For those that are unfamiliar, the dig system locks the rear wheels which allow a greatly reduced turning radius which will assist you in getting out of sticky situations!
Looks like the SCX10 III will come with a 2-speed transmission, which will increase the overall crawling experience for users to choose a speed which will be suited for blasting through trails or precise crawling!
Whether this is a new feature or not is yet to be confirmed, but there are some low light shots which show LED lights installed in the front and back!
After seeing all these things, does it remind you of another crawler? Yep, all these features besides the DIG system come standard on the Traxxas TRX-4, maybe Axial have done their research and felt that the TRX-4 was headed in the right direction after all!
