Introducing the Yeah Racing Threaded Aluminum Link Pipe series.
Yeah Racing have selected the perfect aluminum compound to create a tough yet lightweight pipe and have manufactured these pipes with CNC cutting technology to ensure that every pipe we make are identical. They have release 15 different sizes ranging from 30mm to 100mm in 5mm increments to ensure everyone can choose a suitable length for their needs. For example, these pipes can be used for replacing your original plastic steering links and lower rear links. Another added benefit of offering various lengths is that you can use these pipes to adjust the length of the wheelbase to fit aftermarket bodies where they would not have fit if you were using the stock wheelbase.
Below shows how each lower plastic link on a SCX10 can be modified to be aluminum using Yeah Racing Threaded Aluminum pipes, the original kit links bend easily under stress and may cause your rig to be unstable whilst crawling. Finding out what length to purchase is as easy as measuring the eye to eye length of your link then subtracting the length of the ball end that you are going to use.
Due to the combination of the high torque that modern servos can provide and the high power external BECs can provide to servos, using the kit plastic links on a SCX10 can give you a feel of a weak servo. But the truth might be that the steering link is bending under the high stress of both servo input and the rugged terrain commonly seen on the trail whilst crawling. Change to aluminum steering links to give you that direct steering feel no matter what terrain you are on.
