Xray had introduced two rear chassis braces, machined from aluminum or brass, for the all-new T4 2020 mid-motor touring car kit. The T-shaped braces are designed in a way that allows accessing a total of four stiffness settings by using variable amounts of screws and shims to attach the brace in longitudinal and transversal directions.
Let’s check out it now!
While the lightweight aluminum is mainly used to stiffen up either the carbon fiber or aluminum chassis, the 15g brass variant also helps to fine-tune the weight balance with the brass T-brace being of help, especially for higher grip track conditions. The braces are available separately and they include all needed screws and shims.
Brass chassis brace is used to adjust the chassis flex. The brass brace has the same features as the alu chassis brace but at thesame time it works also as an additional weight as it is 15g heavier and is positioned in the absolute center of the chassis.
Recommended for higher traction conditions as the weight is positioned more in the rear of the car.
There are 4 flex adjustment possibilities – Soft, Medium, Stiff and Extra stiff.
